Which brake pads/parts?

I’m learning to do my own general maintenance; my dad is available to supervise, inspect my work and get me out of any jams.

I’m overwhelmed by all the choices, brands and price range in brake pads. What’s some reasonable advice here?

Thanks.

Re: Which brake pads/parts?

I just went with the cheap ones at Advance Auto. I don't remember what brand they were but they were priced at around 10 dollars for a set (cheapest ones they had). Most Autoparts stores have lifetime warranty brake pads (20 bucks), might be worth it if you do alot of braking and have to change them about every 2-4 years, you won't have to pay for anymore brake pads after that first 20 bucks.
