What kind of car should I get?

Hey Im pretty new to Street Racing (Friend introduced me to it) and I have to make a decision; Keep in mind I do not have a lot of money thus I have to settle for what I can get

-NSX 91-95 Around there, cant afford the 2001 unless its salvaged
-Evo 8
-WRX STI
-Supra 95?
-Integra (90's also)

Other suggestions are welcome too!

First of all, wrong section. Secondly, why is integra one of your options? Of those choices...Supra or Evo 8...personally Supra.

Re: What kind of car should I get?

Not really. It's not always about JUST performance. You could also say a Ferrari is over priced but it has to do with the car that it is, the demand, and even how rare they are.

yup, and overrated. supra's are dyno queens. the evo viii's probly gonna be the fastest out of the cars you mentioned, altho personally i think they're ugly and i'd go with a 94/95 nsx. it's generally a couple tenths slower than the evo viii but it has a lot of potential and it's got a lot more style and rarity.

That implies they can't do anything else but put out big hp numbers and low 1/4 mile times.

It's not the cars fault if the owner turns it into some single minded 1000hp dyno queen.

if you put money into other areas of the car it can be a perfectly good track car.

in fact, stock, it's a perfectly well balanced car that is fast in a straight line and around corners....just a bit heavy

and in answer to the thread starter's question, if you want a street race car, all you need is a straight line monster cos i'm guessing that's all you want to do on the street. Get some big american V8, it'll be perfect for what you want.

Re: What kind of car should I get?

I just wanted to add, the list you've put down is pretty much every type of car there is.

This suggests that you really don't have any sort of preference and don't really know what you like.

I would suggest spending about 6-12 months just getting to know everything a bit so you won't be disappointed with your purchase if you discover what you get is really not your style. Cos all the car's you've listed are pretty expensive...at least around here.

60+ is one of my sweet spots so if you kno of one in charlotte i'll gladly give 'em a run. as far as cars go supras aren't slow by any means, but for the same price you spend on a stock supra you can get a much faster stock car. you can put big $$ into any car and make faster than hell, supras are just a popular car to do that with since they take so well to mods. they're just not all they're cracked up to be in stock trim, escpeccially for what they sell for
