bushing pressing ect.
ok so this is gonna be kidna a weird topic. but doesnt anyone know the average press strength needed to press old steel caised bushigns out and as well in. ive got a 12 ton shop press and im needing to do compensator arms, upper rear control arms. as well from lower control arm but ican cut thoseo ut if need be.

uh try to get a honda factory shop manual. they got the specs i believe.

they have torque patterns and thats about it ive got the chiltons manual. it helps but really i need more.

I had to use 20 ton for lower control arm. And it was just barely enough

hmm well i guess ill jsut cut those mounts out then. but the rear upper control arm and compensator arms is my biggest concern. as for the manual well i dont have one.

Shop manual wont tell you what size press to use. It will simply say "press out". And it varries from car to car depending on deterioration. More then likely that press you have will work, if not a local shop will probably only charge a few bucks to press them out.

I've seen bushings pressed out with a table vice, and a large socket. Be prepaired to pull some of those arm muscles.

well the damn press didnt do me a shit bit of good yesterday i still cut the front bushings out to put my new oens in. kinda a waste of money.
