Who all got one. Who is actually keeping it? I got one. 1st in line at my walmart. Selling mine though.

I am curious what the big deal is to get a brand new game system when it comes out? Is it that superior to the previous one?

This is way superior to the ps 2 as of 360 and ps3 which is better, is a bad arguement waiting to happen, which i don't want. I was just curious becuase of the very small amount available.

Went to Kmart and Best Buy after work yesterday at 3:30 to give it a shot ya know see if there were people waiting. To my surprise there where tons of pople at each store. I had asked how long they were waiting and they said since tuesday morning....OK no thanks dont need a ps3 immediatly i wated 2-3 years I am sure i can wait another month or 2.

These things are going for $2000+ on eBay. Buy 2, sell 2, then buy one for yourself later on after the prices have come down, maybe by July

I know someone who waited since 7pm wednesday outside a Walmart in Vermont (the ones near us had people waiting since moday) with three of his buddies. They turned down offers for $1,000 for their spot in line. Kinda crazy, but for 2 grand, who cares, its only 36 hrs of your life.

Its totally worth the wait when compaered to alternative, freezing yourself in mountain snow only to be covered by an avalanche where no on can find you in time, and remainig frozen there for 540 years.

but just think of the systems that would be out after those 540 years. you would actually be shooting the aliens yourself.

MY teacher said a man got killed coming out of a best buy and his ps3 taken from him. Thats so...i don't even know how to describe it. Its just as video game system. Anyhow, the only thing I can really see that makes next gen systems so great is the graphics. I still play Mario 64, so thats not a factor. Until I see some games that look so great I can't stand it, I'll stick with the PC, Ps2. and all my other "outdated" systems

I was wondering who would get'em then seel'em. I saw a 60GB PS3 going for $5K on E-bay thismorning. CRAZY! If i knew i could get a $4,000 profit from them, i might have gotten one.

if i didnt have a job, i would of been there. i worked it out to like 35 dollars an hour to wait!lol then again, if i didnt have a job, i wouldnt be able to afford one...

the thing with mugs, is that there are always going to be bigger ones.
the thing with big mugs, is that a lot of them are willing to pay lots for bragging rights (misdirected compensation?)

people who go and queue to sell are playing it smart.
people who queue to buy for themselves are dedicated.
people who pay through the nose for one need a girlfriend who will happily spend that money on other things.

no wait, that ain't right....

What you said is completly correct. I've never been a sony fan so I just am trying to make some money on this one. But the games do look pretty good, so maybe, just maybe i'll wait and buy one later. For now, if I can exploit some rich sony fan boys dad, why not.
