LS6 Help

Hey,
This weekend I'm going to buy a 454 block. I'm just putting the finishing touches on my 1967 Chevelle Malibu I bought when I was 15 and now I'm thinking since my second favourite Chevelle year is 1970, I am going ot build an LS6454 Clone.

So my question is, what internals do the LS6's from 1970 have?
Would you recommed different heads or a better setup then an LS6? The cars not going to be original obviously and if I can build an engine better then an LS6 I'm in for it.
