zc block questions
I have a ZC block. Can this block be used with a SOHC ZC head or a DOHC ZC head. I just happened to see a 1.6 ZC SOHC motor online and I'm wondering if the ZC block is compatible with both head setups.

dont quote me on this-but i believe that both the DOHC and SOHC ZC motors are essentially D series motors. The DOHC ZC is pretty similar to the d16a1 (integra motor), and the SOHC ZC is similar to the d16a6 (4g civic/2g crx si motor). so, i would think that since that they are the same series.....you should be able to bolt either head to your block. One way to tell for sure is to compare the head gasket for your block to the headgasket to whatever engine the head came off of. if they are identical...you probably are all set to bolt them up. someone please correct me if im wrong....my d series knowledge is fairly limited cuz im a b series man.

from what ive read the block from a zc is the same as a regular Si motor. I would compare the head gaskets. I dont think it would work right though.
