stock radio and ipod

has anyone come up with a way to wire an ipod wire plug into the stock delco sterio accesory plug shown here? maybe a standard headphone plug or something like that to go into the ipod and somehow connect it to the back into that plug? what setting does the sterio need to be on to use that accesory plug anyways? or could i be wrong about how it all functions?

Re: stock radio and ipod

You can not wire one in like that. The radio would have to be turned off to hear the ipod. With it off you won't be able to power the amp, the ipod does not have the power to play without it. You need to look on ebay ,some later years have an aftermarket adapter you can use. Other than that you are stuck with an fm modulator or a new head unit. This is all as far as I know.
