Question from a friend:

How hard is it to change a light that illuninates the shifter area so you can see whether you are in drive, neutral, reverse, etc ?

It is easy. Just remove the clips or screws that secure the center console and you should have enough play in it to get at the bulb without removing everything. Even if you do have to lift the center console out, it is no big deal.
