Lumina Z34 '92 wont crank
the other day i tried to start my car but nothing happened didn't even make a noise, so i thought what ever and tried again and it started just fine. then i got to my location and when i was ready to leave again the car just wouldn't start, no noises, nothing. so i thought maybe my new battery was dead so i found a guy to jump it for me, but nothing happened. so the nice guy said hold the key in the ignition start position and then wile i did that he crawled under my car and messed around with some cables and about a minute later it started up. drove home fine. since then some times it starts and some times it doesn't. now it seems that it wont start at all. I have a Lumina Z34 Coup '92. if some has any suggestions on what i might try, please help.

Re: Lumina Z34 '92 wont crank
Welcome to AF. Sounds like a starter issue or the trans position switch, when it won.t start check for 12v on the purple wire at the starter solenoid with a helper turning the key, if good it is a starter problem, if none must be back tracked from there.
