Can the 4.0L Cat be removed without an engine light coming on?
Can I remove the cat on my 4.0L, or install a magnaflow cat, without throwing a code and causing the engine light to come on? Thanks

if you remove the cat, you will throw a code. go with a free flowing cat. I used a dynomax race cat with suctom made down pipe and a Remus cat back. no problems and no codes. felt only a little more power though. my opinion, it wasnt worth the cost

I put a high flow cat and muffler on my YJ with 2.5 and lost a noticable amount of low end torque. It reved better and had a little more top end, but I did miss the low end.
