2000 Accent dies after starting

I have a 2000 Accent that starts fine and will rev nicely, but after about 45 sec. the engine will start running real rough and throttle down. Pressing on the gas does little to keep it running.
I have changed the plugs, wires, fuel pump, and filter.
It almost sounds like the engine is being chocked out, but I did not see the usual black smoke.
Does the car have a connector that I could jumper the right pins to make the car display any codes?

Re: 2000 Accent dies after starting

I have the same problem..2000 accent.. this only happens thought after its been sitting on the rain..I was told it could be the coil..I took it somewhere and they fond wires sitting in a puddle of water inside the engine and they supposedly moved them..the wires were against the firewall where they enter the inside of the car...this is telling me that its ignition oriented..so the coil makes sense since the codes show misfire on cyl.3...this could also be your problem..water is entering the engine from somewhere.....AJ
