98 Silverado won't run
I have no clue what to do now, if I pour gas in the throttle body, it will run.I've changed the fuel pump and filter and it's getting gas up to the intake plenum, so I changed the entire fuel injector assembly and it still won't run.It is obviously firing so I don't think that's an issue.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 98 Silverado won't run
Welcome to AF. What fuel pressure do you have on key turn on and cranking, 65 is about what you need here. Any cel on ?, Do you hear the pump prime on initial key on, all basic diagnostics for this condition.

Re: 98 Silverado won't run
I don't know exactly how much pressure, but it was enough to spray off the plenum and soak me and the hood.I'm pretty sure it has plenty of pressure. The fuel pump does come on when I turn the key on.What do you mean "any cel on"?I've had some friends that know more about all the computers on these things say it could possibly be the PCM, but kind've and expense try after those injectors.

Re: 98 Silverado won't run
I just swapped out computers with a friends truck, same year and engine, and still did the same thing, turns over and fires but will not run.The check engine light has been on for a while since i gutted my cat, but i hooked a OBD2 reader up to it and it wasn't reading any codes at all.Any ideas at all???

Re: 98 Silverado won't run
There comes a time where you have to step back and seek professional help..You have come to that point.
you have spent a lot of time and money swapping and installing parts on your vehicle with no positive outcome. First thing you need to do is check the basics..air,fuel,spark and compression. Next is you have a CEL light that remains on and you cannot pull codes..that is a problem. Plus you have done some things that could get you seriously hurt "I don't know exactly how much pressure, but it was enough to spray off the plenum and soak me and the hood" One spark and you would have been a crispy critter. I know there is nothing like the satisfaction of fixing your own vehicle and we are here to help you. In this case I would feel better if you would stop and let a professional diagnose your vehicle.

Re: 98 Silverado won't run
If you don't have pass lock try swapping relays for the two main relays that sit side by side. Also check out the fuses for the injectors and pcm in the relay center. Use a noid light and check for voltage to the injectors. Or go to scrap yard and get a side indicator short harness with a small bulb to check for voltage.
