Transmission Range Sensor P0708

Need to change a Transmission Range Sensor on a 2000 Cougar, 2.5ltr and of course I can not find a manual.

Can anyone tell me if I should put transmission in N before I change or is this just a plug-n-play sensor.

Thanx in advance.

Re: Transmission Range Sensor P0708

I would recommend going to newcougar.org. There are a lot of 99-02 cougar experts over there.
