Re: Gears of War

game is put together very well, graphics are off the hook, but i just cant seem to get into it that much. i bought F.E.A.R. and was addicted instantly. i admit fear is a cheasier game, and probably much shorter, but the matrix effect and real humans make me love it! im more into the run and gun instead of the duck and hide....

Re: Gears of War

fear was a sick game, but the levels were pretty repetitive and the game was kinda short..

Re: Gears of War

FEAR is very short, but it scares sixteen shades of shit out of you several times. It's fun to play tactically as well, instead of running and gunning take it slow and stalk the guys...the AI is excellent.

Haven't played Gears of War, don't plan on it. I don't buy consoles.

And it will probably take 2 years to come out on PC...

uhh i don't know...maybe UT2007

Anyway, true from talking to my friends Gears of war is all that but do not despair, we'll have plenty of Unreal 3 engine based games on PC.

Re: Gears of War

Gears of War looks really awesome, from the trailers and reviews. The graphics are really cool, and this game appears to finally take advantage of the 360's capabilities. But, Halo 3 will own ALL

Re: Gears of War

Gears of war is sweet but i beat it 3 days after i got it. kinda let me down a little, but there'll be a sequel for sure and it's got online mulitplayer so i guess it's ok.

Re: Gears of War

I'm not thinking of any new consoles, I'm fine with my ps2 right now and I still have some racing games to beat, such as GT4 ( will i ever beat this?) NFS6 and Dirt to Daytona. Old games? yes, but worth it. GT4 is getting old though, it actually feels fake to me, no crashing, too much emphasis on lap times RATHER than endurance, and don't get me started on engine sounds.

If I did buy a new system it would be X360 but my 'rich' friend is buying ps3 and I always play ps2 with him, so i'm set for this generation. But I've seen Vision GT and it doesn't look like much of a change...again. The e3 video was really cool but the gameplay looks the same.
