Good Setup For 02 Mustang

Hey everybody hows it going? I just recently got rid of this defective system i had and now im looking for something new and needed some advice. I have an 02 mustang so i dont have too much trunk room, i could only fit 2 tens so thats what im looking for. Im liking the alpine s or r type, not sure which amp to go for. Does anyone have these subs? And do you guys have any other suggestions on a cool setup? Thank alot.

Re: Good Setup For 02 Mustang

I just got some 12" type e's today in a custom box for a mustang and it was pretty sweet for about ten minutes. I got home and popped the trunk to look at them, and a spark flew out of the power wire from the amp. The amp is a soundstrorm 1600wat? that i had from before. Pretty sure its defective so as for a new amp i found a good deal on a MRP-F250, which has 360 watts. Do you guys think that will be enough to get the subs bumpin pretty loud?Or should i go for somthing else? Thanks in advance.

Re: Good Setup For 02 Mustang

If i went for somehting like that with 360watts or the 650 with 400watts would that mean each sub gets 200 watts or 400?

Re: Good Setup For 02 Mustang

you'll need an amp to power the speakers by there specs... if you have 10 in... type r's i would go with an alpine mono amp because for one they are really good and another there amps r underated... i have 2 12in r's and im running 500 watts rms wich what they r rated at... and my max for each speaker is 1500... it just depends on how loud u want it... but also u dont want to under power them wich can cause problems in the future...
