Re: throttle body upgrade

You have to upgrade to a larger intake manifold as well, or the upgraded throttlebody will just be a waste of time and money

Re: throttle body upgrade

The only thing that changes on these is the inner bore and butterfly size. The outter portion will be the exact same as it was before and your old intake will still fit and so will your stock intake manifold. Just don't be looking for some Big # gains out of this. From what i've heard, you pick up some more tq as your car can breathe a little quicker.

Without spending some REAL money, those 2 are going to be the biggest help getting air into the engine. They just make it more efficient and get the air the engine needs quicker. Next you can P&P the head for some nice gains. Other than those, forced induction is the only other way your going to get air in there faster.

A bit more than that actually. I was quoted around $700 from 2 different places. For a P&P with a 5 angle valve job. Install new valves and guides, springs and retainers and roller rockers.

owwy...

Re: throttle body upgrade

err.. as for a gain. If you were to do exactly what i had listed... Your car would become extremly peppy if ya know what i mean. Roller rockers alone are dyno proven 8hp gain

I <3 Crane products.

Re: throttle body upgrade

Ive been quoted from $700-900 for a P&P. Its worth it for N/A and even more so with boost. Ive seen it do night and day wonders with a nice turbo setup granted it was on an evo and not a cavi but night and day I tells ya.
