sc clunks and growls upon in first upon rapid acceleration
I replaced the two struts cw hubs. Saturn runs smooth in each gear (5 speed). If I start out normally (accelerate normally) everything is fine, however if I accelerate quickly, there is a clunk and grinding, I am not sure if it is in the tranny, bearing or cv joint.
I can take it to the shop to have it diagnosed, ($$$$$) or perhaps someone can suggest where to start. Thanks Hasgman |

Re: sc clunks and growls upon in first upon rapid acceleration
I had a similar problem with me 95 SL2. Turned out to be the top motor mount on the passenger side of the car. I'd check that first. I started by replacing the struts. I coulda saved a bundle if ida check the mounts first.
Hope this helps. Good luck. |
