A few lighting q's?

I just bought an '03 Z-71 and was wondering how I can find out if the truck is prewired for fog lights? (it doesn't have them!!) How hard/easy is it to ad these? Do you know of anywhere that I can get a good price on the OEM lights? New from gm they are about 200 bucks.

Also, I see alot of guys mod'ing their headlights to have all 4 on when the high beams are on? How are you guys doing this?

one more thing, the light for the temp control on the dual climate HVAC is out. How easy is that to replace? what's the procedure?

Re: A few lighting q's?

LMCtruck.com has a deal to make all four of your headlights burn at once. Look though all the catalogs on line because I found the one for my '99 Blazer in the catalog for '88 trucks at a cheaper price than it was in the other catalog.

Re: A few lighting q's?

Helped a buddy last year put OEM fog's in his '03 GMC Sierra. Got em from eBay. Front grill and bumper have to come off to mount the lights. Underhood relay center needs to come up to put the power wire in were the relay goes. Dash bezel needs to come off to put the fog light switch in. Everything is in the OEM kit. The wiring to the switch was already there. Need to run the wire harness from the lights to the relay box and hook up a ground on the lower radiator support. We drank a lot of beer and had it done in 5 hours. Then we drank some more beer. Great fun!!!.........Steve

I found some info online about full kits, the one says that you have to get the dealer to re-program your BCM to accept the fog lights, since it's not programmed already to have them. Did you have to do this?

Re: A few lighting q's?

I got a kit off ebay, and the light worked great. I did not have to reprogram anything. The kit was an OEM kit. BTW, my truck is an 03 silverado
