Wipers gone wild!!
1990 Lumina APV. My wiper blades are possessed!! When I turn them on the delayed wiping position it will spaz out every so often. It changes speed when it wants. It seems to run ok on constant low speed and constant high speed. If I turn them off, sometimes it will make another 4 swipes before it stops. When it decides to stop sometimes it will stop in the most upward extended position and than after about 15 seconds it will drop down to its home position. I have replaced all the switch assembly harnesses in the steering column and the turn signal lever which has all the controls on it. After spending $200.00 for the parts I thought this would be fixed. It was also blowing the fuse for the tail lights and dash lights which started me to invest all of this money to fix it. It was recommended to me to replace all the switch assembly harnesses in the column which I did and solved the fuse problem. The wiper problem has been there for a while so I decided that if I was going to fix my fuse problem I would spend the extra $90 for the turn signal lever assembly. People must think I am nuts when they see me yelling at my wiper blades saying WHAT THE F_ _ K!!!!
