2006 Chevy Cobalt door rattle (How to fix it)

Do you ever hear a faint rattle sound coming from your driver side door panel? Well, after searching and looking I found this annoying rattle. The rattle is coming from your front driver side splash guard. Check it out, see if you can move it back and forth a little. The wind is causing the tapping sound as it moves it back and forth, the set screw was never bolted down all the way on some vehicles. Take a pair of pliers or a monkey wrench and tighten it up a little... the noise will be gone forever! Now the nice quiet ride you have been wanting is back. I think the torque on the wrench at the Chevy plant was not set properly on the driver side causing a little tiny gap that has caused so much irritation to our fellow Chevy Cobalt drivers.
