Need electrical help

I've been having an issue for the last couple days with my tail lights staying on after my 99 has been shut off. I'm also getting the door ajar light on and my gas gauge jumps for the current level to empty constantly. This has all been occuring for the last 4-5 days. I'm also having trouble with the rear fan. This moring, after the van sitting all weekend, the battery was totally drained.

Anybody have any clues as to what is occuring? I've been pulling two fuses to get the tail lights to shut off.

Thanks!

Re: Need electrical help

I have seen posts about a GEM module that can fail......causing tail light problems.
I have no experience with that.

I would check the Brake On Off (BOO) switch that is up under the dash....mounted to the brake pedal shaft.
If it is NOT connected, the tail lights should be OFF.
I have pictures of the BOO switch in my pictures.
That would be cheaper and easier than the GEM (General Electronics Module)

Re: Need electrical help

Thanks! I'll check that tonight.

Do you know where the Hazard Flasher Unit is located on the 99? The manual I have says it should be by the fuses in the drivers compartment, but I can't find it there.
