Call your local auto parts store and see if they list the same no for both.
Or the salvage yard should have a inter change book.
96-02 may be same but double check

Re: Maf combatability

According to the NAPAonline site both years use the same p/n MAF sensor. Did you try to clean yours yet? Search this forum for more info. I just cleaned up mine last week - and no more "lean burn" code.

You can see compatible vehicles on ACDelco.com. There are 295 vehicles that use the same sensor.:

Re: Maf combatability

Buy a new cat and do not throw the old one away. The old cat is worth about$90.00(for GMs) from a buyer that buys old cats.

Re: Maf combatability

I have an 87 blazer that just has a vaccum port on the maf sensor. How could you clean it?? Or just replace it??

You have a MAP sensor there not a MAF sensor.
If it is bad just replace it.
Map sensors are vacuum operated ad MAF sensors are electrical.
