turbo'd d16

ok well as soon as i sell my 95 civic i'm goin to buy a 88 civic and swap in a d16y8 and i was wondering what would be a safe level of boost? around 5-6 i'm also gonna have bigger injectors and a vafc if that helps. also what is a good price for a 88 civic w/ rims dropped and 175,000 miles. thanks.

well, if you build it up right you can run 10-14 psi safely on stock internals

here is a link for turbo using vafc after you check that out new turbo pics he just added of the turbo ZC he upgraded to

you'll love the y8 in a 88 hatch :jump:

i don't think i'd pay more than $1500. but that's me. i'd rather find one for $500 with high miles and drop it/rims myself.

10-15 on stock internals? hmm thats a new one. that must take LOTS of tuning and fuel and other things

i wouldn't run anything past 7 to be on the safe side.

ME <<<< 11 psi on a zc for 6 mos and an A6 before that non IC for 8 months

sold the A6 and put it in another car (BTW it had 247,000 miles on it)
and its still going strong in a CRX ran 15.5
so i dont think the turbo hurt it at all
