Where is mass flow sensor 98 sl saturn?

I have a 1998 saturn that starts pushing peddle down and acts like it is flooding while running. I heard and thought I could find the mass air flow sensor and clean it. I found the throttle sensor and a device that looks be the an air inlet bypass valve.
Where is it?

I overhauled this engine after blown rods. It ran OK after that. It now has a bad muffler but can't see that effecting this starting problem or hesitation. It hesitates and somtimes dies if the trottle is depressed too fast. The air/fuel ratio sounds like the problem to me. I guess that device on the throttle body is a pressure sensor. The PCV valve doesn't seem to effect the hesitation either. ANY Ideas on the starting and hesitation?

Would that mean taking it off to clean or is there another way? I removed and cleaned the butterfly valve and boy was it carbon black behind it. Cleaning the valve did not fix the problem tho. I will replace the PCV vlv after solving this starting and hesitation problem.

the components on the throttle body are the iac valve and tps.

the common cause of a bad A/F ratio on the 1.9 engine is cause by a bad engine coolant temp sensor. but lets start with that throttle body first. if you remove the intake tube you can spray carb and choke cleaner directly into the thottle body, also just below the throttle plate you will a air passige, this is for the idle air control solenoid, clean in there really well. if it is easly for you, remove the IAC from the throttle body to ensure its clean.
