02 grand am se makes front end noise

my 2002 grand am se makes a grinding sometimes it sounds like the front end is binding up.IT does it when you are parked and when you turn the wheel to get ready to move forword that whens it makes the noise even when you back up.Even when you are driving and you turn a corner.Took it back to the car dealer where i bought the car they told me that cars make noise because they are made out of fiber glass and plastic...IF any one else that had the problem and had it fix or anyone that can help me let me know..
thank you

Re: 02 grand am se makes front end noise

There are a couple of possible problems. First, you could have a CV joint going bad in one of the axle shafts. Another possible problem would be a tire rubbing on the metal part of the car. Finally, it is possible that the brake could be causing the problem but I doubt it since you stated that the car does it when pulling out. If you are on the brake then that may be your problem.

I would also have them check the rack and pinion steering. When they are going bad then they will grind when you turn while driving. All are possible so you may want to find a good mechanic to check the car out. Obviously the stealership isn't willing to help you out. If they warranted the car and are unwilling to honor the agreement contact the BBB or your consumer protection agency.
