96 firebird EGR

Have a code, says no source voltage for EGR valve. techs say not to worry about it. but the service engine soon light is on. any ideas?

Probably check the source voltage for your EGR valve and go from there.

what is the code? They usually cover more then one thing. It could be that the O2 sensor saw no change in the exhaust mixture when it triggeed the EGR thereby signaling a possible faulty EGR valse. EGRs have been known to get dirty and quit functioning.
