How to remove head light switch knob????

I own 91 TC and now I am trying to remove the instrument trim panel to remove the instrument cluster. I could remove lower trim panel and all screws are removed. However, the headlight switch knob stuck with the instrument panel, so I could not take the panel out. I tried to figure out how to remove the knob but I could not find the way.... Is anybody have a idea how to remove the knob??

Thanks all.

Ryotan

Re: How to remove head light switch knob????

Hello

The knob just pulls off, but first you need to get behind it and push in the metal tab to release it. If I remember correctly the tab grabs the flat part of the shaft, so push in that area. I use an o ring pick with a 90 degree bend to get back there. A small screwdriver will work as well. Once you have the knob off you will see how it works, It's hard to see in there when the knob is on. You might have to bend the tab back in place to get it to stick back on. Good luck.
