hmm.... hopefully whoever buys it doesnt know a lot about tegs
 they'll know all have 4 wheel disc.

Hey you guys...someone in the Bay Area is selling me a 92 Teg, 4 door sedan for $500...clean interior, new paint, front and rear spoilers...just needs a new motor. I was thinking of dropping my spare B18b and sell it for ???How much do they usually go for anyway?

sastanley, we have a 90 RS...it's the model below the LS. so, you're buddies ride should have the rear disc brakes (even if it is a RS).
it has a b series dohc non-vtec. it's okay..it gets up and goes. but, my civic walks all over it. if your friend has the LS then you could always slap another head on it and have a ls/vtec . ami

Sweet on the disc brakes...this car is a ragged out 90 sedan. I dunno how to tell the trim level...so it must be the RS (steelies w/ wheel covers?) - Did they have alloys on any 90-91's ? ?
it is a 5-speed...and he says the motor is dead - but he knows nothing about cars...(he is actually an older guy that knows my Dad) - so he had the car towed to a shop and I don't have details on the condition of the engine...but even if the motor is no good, I figure for $200 (my top price to offer) should cover his towing & storage, and then he can just sign over the title and I'll take it off his hands..the car has been thru him and his two kids and has 227K on it. Are any of the parts on the motor usuable? Could I part out the tranny, dizzy, etc? to re-coup a little of my cost? (other than getting seats and disc brakes for $200 or less Once the car is all done being parted out, I'd drag it to the junkyard and let them crush it or whatever....  -Shawn

i say buy the car for $200 then get yourself another engine & drop it in. then you will have a teg for a daily beater car

I cant believe how slow that damn thing is. Ami took me for a ride in it when we came to the show, and it didnt even begin to pull till like 3rd gear and even then it was weak.
