member cars

I don't know if this has been done before but I would like to see what other members cars look like, I'm sure everyone would like to see the other cool cv's out there! We might even share some ideas or sources for parts. I'll start by posting pics of mine......http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...n99/car002.jpg

Re: member cars

Im guessing your talking about the firebird. Nobody asks about the catalina.

Thanks for the compliment. I like em, but they could be a lot nicer. Im more worried about functionality than i am appearance. All nice looking says is "steal me", "im a good joy-ride". And plus i can sit a laundry basket on top of my car without worrying about the paint.

Body: 1982 T/A (possible recaro edition, the numbers are there but its unconfirmed)

Engine: 1970 {T1027CLJ(3970014)}350SBC - flat forged pistons - Comp 280 duration cam - Torker II intake - Jet kitted Carter AFB Competition series carb -333882 heads - recurved HEI - now running open headers.

trans: Custom 350 trans machined for extra clutches, and a transgo valve body reprogram shift kit in the stock valve body.

The suspension is stock 1985 camaro in back, the front suspension is 1987 T/A with a few upgrades.

Right now im working on putting a pontiac 400 under the hood. I have to relocate the oil filter, have custom headers made ect. Ive been putting the 400 project off for quite some time, but i just picked up a 78 GMC pickup in perfect shape(original body without dents/ complete interior), it just needs an engine. So im putting the firebirds 350/350SBC engine/trans in the pickup after i freshen it up, and then i will be putting a 400/400 pontiac motor in the firebird.

I give credit where credit is due. Ford and Chevy both have made good and bad cars, like most car companies have. Personally im more of a GM guy, but i cant deny the fact ford has made some dependable fun to drive cars, that are sometimes very competitive against direct competition.

The only problem ive ever had with Ford is HENRY, not the Ford Motor Co.
