I am looking to raise my truck just 1 1/2 to 2 inches (the front maybe two and the rear 1 1/2 as the front sits lower. I know I can raise the front with the torsion bars but what is the best way to raise the rear with out a lot of changes. If I raise it too much then it will ride rough. And I do not want to change out the front parts (needed to raise it 4 inches) this would be to much right now. So do I use blocks for the back and torsion bar adjustment for the front. This little of a raise should not affect the front CV joints or the drive shaft?? But hey I have been wrong before..

Lifted trucks with a quality kit and proper installation will ride just as well as stock. You only have torsion bars if you have 4wd (you probably know that, but some dont). The easiest and best way to lift the rear would be with lift shackles. A block is fine, but they're really not the greatest thing to use. You could also add-a-leaf.
For the front you could just do a couple cranks on the torsion bars. If you want to go more than 1.5, I'd get Ford keys.

Yes it is 4x4, I have checked on the lift kits, going up 4 inches then it is a whole front end change and 1500 to 1700 dollars and I do not want to go up that high. I have raised my suburban by the torsion bars, a bunch of off road shops show a after market key to buy to raise the front end 1 1/2 to 2 inches. as for the back I am not very happy with blocks and adding a leaf will change the ride. The truck is decked out for long trip and I do not want to mess with the ride as a added leaf would do, Thanks for the input.

Def. get the Ford keys. If you crank your TB's, your ride will stiffen up a bit, Dont forget to get it re-aligned after the crank. You might want to get a longer shock up front to return to the nice smooth ride. As for the rear, unless you are going to be doing a lot of towing, or have major horse power, lift blocks are ok especially for the amount you are looking at, four inches or less, but an add a leaf would be the best option. And I will add, if you put on a proper lift your ride will not change much, my cognito lift rides just as good, if not better than stock.
oh yeah, and if you have 4wd, I wouldnt crank more than 1.5 to 2 inches. It will destroy your cv axles, and your ball joints will wear out way fast. Your front driveshaft will be fine. Cognito makes a leveling kit, probably more than you want to spend, but thats how you do it right the first time.
