ETS/Check Engine light.....deactivating.....

In a nutshell, the check engine light/ets light came back on just a few weeks after the chevy dealer supposedly fixed and reset codes. The codes indicated several possibilities: camshaft position sensor, gas cap, vacuum leak etc. Chevy dealer said it was a bad gas cap and wanted to put a new one on. Thing is, I just did that before bringing it to the shop. In addition they tried to sell me the kitchen sink: brake pads/rotors, tires, alignement, blah blah blah.

So i'm just going to blow off the lights and drive since it runs fine. However, I would like to make those lights go away. Anyone know how to deactivate the lights and/or computer to put the lights out.......other than going behind dash and pulling bulbs???

Its a 97 Cavalier. Runs fine, but i'm not going to pump money into it, nor am I going to deal with the chevy dealer anymore.

Probly something wrong with a wire or the speed sensor, I had the same problem until I swapped suspensions between my 2.2 and z24 and then it went away
