Heater Fan Problem
I got this problem with my heater fan, when I turn the fan on at any speed theres a vibration noise. The faster the fan goes the louder it gets. I have a 2000 GTP with the digital heater/ac controls. Idk if something got caught in the fan or whats going on. If thats the problem how do i get at the motor for the fan?
Thanks for the help |

Re: Heater Fan Problem
Remove the fan from the housing and pull the fan blades from the motor. Lubricate the bearing on the front and rear of the motor and reinstall. A light oil will work so that it penetrates the bearing. I suggest 3 and 1 oil. Then replace the blade assembly and reinstall. This should quite the motor for you otherwise you will need to replace the motor. This is a common problem with these fan motors as the bearings dry out and cause the noise.

Re: Heater Fan Problem
The blower motor is located under the dash in the passenger compartment, above the front seat passenger's feet. There may be a fiber hush panel covering it that has to be removed to gain access. While you're in there, go to the parts store and buy a cabin air filter for a similar year Buick Regal. The G-Prix has the spot for it, but GM never installed them in the GP, so they won't list one for the GP. The cabin air filter will keep debris (leaves, dust, etc...) out of the blower motor, and makes a better seal for preventing water intrusion as well.

Re: Heater Fan Problem
Alright I got it fixed. There were two seed things that fall from the trees during the fall that got stuck in the blower so I took them out and lubed up the bearings and everything works good again. Thanks for the help again guys.
