Re: Oldsmess

Try resetting the system by turning the key on for 10 minutes and shutting it off for 30 seconds. Repeat and after the third 10 minute interval the car should start. Also try another OEM key to see if that will work. Sometimes the chip in the key will go bad and cause this issue.

Re: Oldsmess

well i did take a real good look at my keys and my little bro came over and i took a good look at his keys, and the risitor prongs sticking out on each side of the chip on his key are really good, but the points on my chip from my keys look like they have been filed down.my wife got a ride to the gm/olds place here in my town and they said if i have tried everything even the relearn steps, and it still will not start then it is mostly to be the ignition switch,so is there a special way once i get the steer wheel off and the plate removed for removing and installingreplacement ignition switch? Thanks
