Re: 99 camry dies after warmed up?

Could be a bad ECT sensor.

Re: 99 camry dies after warmed up?

In addition to what Brian suggested about the ECT sensor, your idle air control valve may need cleaning. Do this in conjuntion with cleaning the throttle body. When cleaning the throttle body you will see a square or diamond shaped port in the base of the throttle body. That's the passage to the idle air control valve. Spray that passage liberally with throttle body cleaner and let it soak for 5 or 10 minutes while you go on to clean the rest of the throttle body.

If you are not sure how to do this do a search for "throttle body cleaning".

As far as needing a scanner to read the OBD2 codes, your local Autozone will do it for free.
