Re: 2001 GAGT Fuel filter

Its In the line above the rear axle, up on the body.

One end is a nut(not sure on the size) the other has a plastic coupler that plugs into the line fitting.

They sell/rent a tool that squeezes that plastic piece then pull it straight out. I usually have better luck with plyers.

Make sure and use some old rags when you loosen the filter.
it will drain quite a bit of fuel,
more if you drop the hose lower then the tank.
You can drain the pressure off from the shrader vavle on the passengerside back fuel rail.

I tend to buy Napa AC delco, my local dealer had them cheap for a while but they're $20 now.
Napa runs about $15.

Just thought, while you are under thier, check all the hoses for cracks and make sure the clamps are tight. I've seen/had them get loose and cracked causing a small leak.

Re: 2001 GAGT Fuel filter

Gm is fine, thats what I'd been using in the past.

I was paying $10 at my local dealer, they are the same as the ones they carry now but the price has doubled now
