im making a streetable "racing" pickup out of my 73 chevy c-10, as many of you probably know from my constant mentioning of the fact. (i admit it, im competely psyched about getting it done this summer) anyways, i was wondering how wide i can go with the rear tires before needing to put aftermarket tubs in. i was thinking of only going up to maybe 12 inches wide and regular other than that, to keep my spedometer accurate. im planning on mounting the tires on some type of 15 inch rim, possibly cragars.
by the way, can i use my stock rally rims that are 8 or 10 inches wide (dont know for sure, have to measure when i get home) with 12 inch wide tires?
sorry for all the idiotic questions im posting lately, i just dont want to put another 10 grand into this truck to not have it work out right
