93 civic stalling and tach and speedo going crazy

my 93 civid runs great 99% of the time but of late the tach and speedo go crazy and the check engine light comes on and it stalls,,,takes a few minutes and it fires back up,,,,i think its electrical it has 193 k on it but besides this on and off problem is fine,,any suggestions?

You need to find out how to check codes on Civics. I think there should be stored some in the ECU. It should give you the information what is wrong with the car.
