head unit reseting?

I have had a problem with my alpine cd player reseting ever once in a while, i think i need to redo the ground but wont have time to tear apart my dash for about another week or so, it takes a half hour just to take apart the dash in my car, are there any other reasons that would cause it to just suddenly reset? its been in for about 3 to 4 months and has worked fine until about a week and a half ago, then it started to just reset every once in a while befor i turn it on, i never notice it doing that before the ignition is turned,
thanks for any help

Re: head unit reseting?

it will lose it's memory if the constant 12V power wire or fuse is loose.

Re: head unit reseting?

Ill check the fuses tomorow if i remember, that should take a minute or so, but im thinking it in my wiring, i have gone through the stock ground in the car and it is almost 17 years old, ive been told to go to the fire wall instead because it can ground better, i will check my wiring saturday maybe,
thanks
