seen 4th gen for sale

This car is freaking awesome Its a 93 z28 lt1, hard top, auto, red, ex-cop car upgraded suspenion and brakes, has a cam in it, shift kit 3.42 posi with a cowl hood, and flowmasters. The dealer told me that it runs 12's in 1/4 mile. he is asking $5,500 for it. It is located at Circle B in Casey IL I wish i could have gotten pics but went to test drive a '00 z71 loaded. from looking at it the guy must of painted the hood himself cause it is hard to tell but has orange peel look and car has been repainted but it is smooth. Normal spidered front bumer cover on bottom the tip of it. other than a few other small body defects it is clean. I'm wishing i could buy it but cause i drive 45 min ( going 60 mph) to college and back 5 days a week i cant get it.

Re: seen 4th gen for sale

im assuming he has some kind of proof that it runs 12's? Its not easy to get a cam only lt1 into the 12's from what i have seen. Just make sure you know what you are buying and not what some guy at a car lot is telling you you are buying. For example check for the B4C rpo code if it is infact an ex cop car.

I know guys who didn't even touch a internal that are running 12's with there LT1's. GM high performance did a project LT1 where they didn't even take the valve covers off on a 120+K LT1 and got her into the 12's.

After 30k miles or so, the cop cars turn to crap....They were all Ford's though. I would never want to own an ex-cop car.

Normal mods. Think about it. LT1's have been seen to get into high 13's stock. Even though most do low 14's. So basically some gears, shift kit if auto (short shifter if stick), a catback, headers, the free mods, cold air intake, air foil and so on and so on. Its pretty easy to achieve. Hell LS1's have been known to make it into the 12's stock. There is not a massive difference in performance between the two, maybe 50 horse or so. That can be made up pretty simply.

we're talkin about a b4c camaro here, not a crown vic. i would take a b4c but it depends how it was used by the department. i thought the police cars have some of the best maintainence through the state programs.

Re: seen 4th gen for sale

well it has 113000 miles on it. the dealers friend owns it and i think he got it from a department in indiana and i wouldnt be able to afford gas to put in it. Plus it has a 3200 stall. so i think that i am going to stick with the grand prix as dd. if i did get a 4th gen i would be between a 98-02 ss or z or same years ws6 ta. i would try to find a ss with slp options. but that is just dreams i doubt $500,000 would just ever fall into my lap so i could even fix my iroc and every thing else i want to do with the money.

who am i kidding thats just pocket change.

I wish!!

Re: seen 4th gen for sale

The SLP optioned cars are fine, but don't order anything from them.
Their designs are outdated, their prices are high, and they have NO customer service.
