2004 Dodge Carvan SE tailgate

Hi, we just brought a 2004 Dodge Caravan SE. Its very basic (manual windows, no central locking!) and we can't find how to open the tailgate from inside the van. I've looked around, but can't find anything obvious. Any ideas?

Probably no way to open it from the inside . If you have manual locks , then the only way is to go to the back unlock the door and lift the handle . I have a Town and Country and there is no way to actually open it from the inside , can lock and unlock from iside though . Why do you have to open it from the inside ????
