Alero Dash

Hello All. I hadn't paid much attention to my dash, but the dealer I went to pointed out that my dash was coming unglued. Upon looking at the dash, I noticed 3 different places that were coming unglued. Is there a way to repair the dash...or am I just going to have to deal with it?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Alero Dash

Not sure if you can glue it.

My Grand am GT's dash , right in the middle of the two gauges its poped up and realy bugs me.
I think the heat from the sun is what gets it to peel up.

I tried gluing mine but thier wasnt any way to clamp it down till the glue dried.

You hav any pics of it ?

Re: Alero Dash

You can't repair them. Through the dealer it's VERY expensive to replace a dash or door panel which is warped. Mine were replaced under warranty, but it would have cost me $750 just for the cost of the dash...not counting install.

Re: Alero Dash

Mine started doing that a little over a year ago. Not much that can be done about it, short of replacing the dash like Jeremy mentioned, or maybe letting the dust pile up for a few months. Do you notice any of the same symptoms on the door panels? I noticed mine starting to buckle on the left rear door near the back.

Yes, I have noticed the same on my rear left door. The craftsmanship on this car is very poor! I don't understand why some Alero's are great, and other's are constantly trouble. I'll try to get you some pics, but I can't right now as my car is in the dealership... I'm about to post why it is. (It just got out of the dealership not 3 days ago!)
