clutch and idal speed??
i have a 1995 nissan 200sx se 1.6L 5 speed
ok, here is the problem.. i'm in 2 nd gear and i come to a stop sign, i step the clutch paddle, then brake. however, the moment i step the clutch, the rpm drop below idal speed (around 500rpm) and then goes back to regular idal speed (750rpm). that gave me a feeling that the engine will shut off by the stop sign or red light some day, and i dont want that ever happen!! does anyone know how to fix this problem? thanks |

Re: clutch and idal speed??
you may want to adjust your clutch pedal/cable (fugiot correct me if im wrong) if its hydraulic you may want to add some fluid, the only thing it sounds like to me is your clutch may not be disengaging all the way, if it snags just a tad it may dip your rpm a bit before it gets loose, other than that you would have problems at idle and such maintaining rpm, let me know if thats the case
