Re: Transmission for 94 GA

well we need a few things before we can get you a estimate. is it a 3spd or 4spd auto? or is it a 5spd manual? The diff will be included in the rebuild sense its inside the trans. If your diff is busted up they will charge you for a core.

Welcome on your first post on AF.
As said above.
Need more info.
And are you sure you need one?
Like what is it doing or not doing?
Or
Your local dealer or a good repair shop will give you a quote.

Tips on getting a good answer to your questions.
People trying to answer your question do not have a crystal ball.
So give them all of the info you have like year make and model and engine and transmission and mileage.
Also cars engine and transmission service history or any recent repairs or problems.
Also a description of your problem and what it is doing or not doing.
If you have codes give up the code no.
And remember a code does not say replace the part but only points to the problem that you have to check out.
So to better help you give up all of the info you have on it.

it's a 4 spd auto and one of the gears shot out of the housing i have the pieces and there is trans fluid on the driveway

The left are the housing pieces and after looking at them they are aluminum so yea and the right are obviously the gear

That does not sound good.
Time for a rebuilt or good used one.
Prices can range from a 2 hundered to 2K
I would shop around and check round.
Good Luck

Re: Transmission for 94 GA

well if you just blew up the diff and didn't bust the trans case or hurt the final drive ring gear you can just get a new diff and extention housing cover and get back on the road. Oh and no more peg-leg burnouts!!

Your picks arent showing up thatotherguy186.

Need to load them to a pic host such as photobucket.com or imageshack.com.
Then post the link or use the "insert image" button on the top of the quick reply box.
