99 cavys..wtf?
yeah so My mom's car has done this for close to a year now, and mine has just started doing it..... okay this is the scenario.... you're accelerating, and it's like there's a spot in the spectrum that doesn't want to allow fuel through and you sorta sputter. The whole front end shakes and the only way to make it go away is to either let up or push down, if you leave it in that spot it will do it for all eternity...it doesn't do it all the time, mostly towards the cold end of the needle, and usually around 50mph. if you slam the pedal when it happens, it jolts into passing gear and goes away..that is usually what I do...any clue on why our cars do this???

Re: 99 cavys..wtf?
time for a tune up...
![]() Mine use to do it when the car started up when it was cold. Had no power and missed like a bitch till it heated up. How many miles are on your car? This started on mine around 53K. Now at 59K I've done just about every ignition upgrade without going MSD DIS-2. Go get a fuel system treatment at the dealership. Injector cleaners don't do a whole lot. Might even want to replace your fuel filter too. These should be replaced every year. Atleast by my standards. When i put her into storage this fall, after fixing the vaccum leak, and other stupid shit.. When on a hard acceleration she's moved like a bad outta hell.
