I am leaking clutch fluid. It looks like it is coming from behind the resivor under the hood. Is there a gasket I can replace behind it? How should the clutch pedal feel. Tight with little play or like mine soft with alot of play. Sometimes it is very hard to get it into reverse. Is there a clutch adjustment to tighten it up. Can anyone help.

Sounds like the clutch master needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Depends on cost and where you live. Easy job though.
Edit: DC manual says parts replace only (no rebuild). |

Do you mean the clutch solinoid where I keep filling it up with fluid?

The name for it is clutch master cylinder. And the name for the part that gets activated is called the clutch slave cylinder.
Part at Kragen's: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...aster+Cylinder One hour or so labor (shop)...about $150 in California (plus cost of part). Most home mechanics can do it in about .5 hour plus cleanup and bleed time. |

Hydraulic clutch linkage is like hydraulic brakes, if it leaks the pedal will get spongy and not have as much travel. The whole principle of hydraulics is that liquids don't compress.
