Thanks to e_powers, LMP and this forum I was able to replace the timing belt on my 2001 KIA Sportage 4x4
Downloading the information to replace the timing belt was just what I was looking for. Now my Sportage needs a new clutch, and I would like to replace it myself so here I am again seeking help. I'm looking for a manual that has information on clutch repair/replacement? Can I purchase it from KIA? I think $600 to $700 to take it to a shop is a little more than I can afford, however I really wouldn’t mind paying to have it done right if I could just find a reliable KIA mechanic near Seattle. I have never changed a clutch. So my first questions are, can I do this at home by myself and does it require any special tools? |

Re: 2001 Clutch Slipping
you are very welcome.
you might get lucky and score an actual kia manual on ebay. stay away from the cds. they are junk i think any manual from 98-2001 should work for you.
