I have a Diablo Preadator Tuner and it allows me to retard/advance the timing. So my question is, is there any difference between advancing/retarding the timing electronically with my Tuner as opposed to advancing/retarding the timing mechanically with a timing adjuster?

I never messed with your combo before, so I really could not give you any advice.
I did not know there was a mecjanical timing adj for your 4.6. I thought with the predator, you could adj different setting though the rev range?

Yeah you can adjust the timing on the 4.6L, here is a link to a mechanical adjuster:

Yes, its the same I would imagine. When you install that magnetic pick up, do you plug it into the existing wireing harness? If so, I would think the predator just manipulates the timing internally at the ECU.
I was reffering to stock, about adjusting the timing.
