Passenger side leak

When it rains hard my passenger side leaks water pretty bad, I heard it was a filter on that side. If it is just the filter, where exactly is that filter located? If it's not the filter, then what the hell is it?

Re: Passenger side leak

There is a cowl seal under the hood that is a common problem. You'll have to remove the wiper arm and the plastic under it to gain access. The Regal (sister car to the grand Prix) comes factory with a cabin air filter, so ask for one for a similar year Regal. Gm never put one in the Grand Prix, but the spot is there for it. It creates a better cowl seal and helps channel the water away. Plus is keeps dust and pollen out of the pasenger compartment, and foreign material out of the blower motor, extending it's life also.

Re: Passenger side leak

yes, buy one for a same year Regal. If you go to the parts store and ask for one for your GTP, the parts monkey's head may explode, as there is no listing for the Grand Prix.
