01 3.8 p0440
Hi all, I've replaced the gas cap and even the purge solenoid. I've even got under the rear fender where the black cannister is and inspected all the lines. Short of taking this thing to the dealer to pin point the location of the issue does any one have any additional suggestions on things to look at to get this CEL off? Thank you

Shops other that dealers may have the equipment. I agree that a smoke machine is the next step, as you've already replaced/inspected the common causes.

Re: 01 3.8 p0440
last question on this, so if I call a local shop I would ask if they have a smoke machine/ leak detector?

I've a 2001 Impala LS with same code, please advise of any updates to your issue with this code. I'll be buying a gas cap tommorrow. Thanks
