93 altima rod knocking-repair/replace

I have a 93 altima with a rod knocking what would be better to do repair the engine or replace it. Also,does this have a metal crank or not? Please help!!!
any advice would be GREAT

Some importers from Japan sell used engines with around 45,000 mile on them.
They appear to be a decent deal.
